Required Materials: Students are to bring following the course materials to class:
- – Managing Fire in the Urban Wildland Interface (2017), ISBN: 978-0-923956-96-7
- – Fire and Life Safety Educator (IFSTA, 3rd ed., ISBN: 9780879393960)
- – NFPA 1037 Standard for Fire Marshal Professional Qualifications (2016)
- – A physical copy or digital access is acceptable for NFPA documents
Enrollment: The course fee is $225. Class will be filled on a first come, first served basis and is limited to 30 students. Members wishing to attend are directed to register online and indicate whether they are paying by credit card, check, or cash. A convenience fee of 2.3% will be applied to all credit card payments. If paying by check, make it payable to the Fresno Fire Department (FFD). Please note the course name in the memo section of the check. Full payment is required to reserve a seat and complete registration. Deadline for registration is March 27, 2025.
Cancellation & Refund Policies: If you must cancel your registration, please notify FFD as soon as possible. Cancellations will be subject to a $25 non-refundable administrative fee. No refund will be given if student cancellation occurs within seven (7) or less days prior to the course start date.
