Required Materials:  Students are to bring following the course materials to class:

  • – NFPA 921 Guide for Fire and Explosion Investigations (2017)
  • – NFPA 1033 Standard for Professional Qualifications for Fire Investigator (2014)
  • – NFPA 1037 Standard for Fire Marshal Professional Qualifications (2016)
  • – Physical copies or digital access is acceptable for NFPA documents.
  • – Copy of agency fire investigation policies from the student’s jurisdiction for activity 2-1.

 

Enrollment:  The course fee is $225.  Class will be filled on a first come, first served basis and is limited to 30 students.  Members wishing to attend are directed to register online and indicate whether they are paying by credit card, check, or cash.  A convenience fee of 2.3% will be applied to all credit card payments.  If paying by check, make it payable to the Fresno Fire Department (FFD).  Please note the course name in the memo section of the check.  Full payment is required to reserve a seat and complete registration.  Deadline for registration is January 24, 2025.

Cancellation & Refund Policies:  If you must cancel your registration, please notify FFD as soon as possible.  Cancellations will be subject to a $25 non-refundable administrative fee.  No refund will be given if student cancellation occurs within seven (7) or less days prior to the course start date.  For assistance, please contact the Training Division at (559) 621-4200 or FireTraining@fresno.gov.
